E-3: The Road of desert
Word: Isaiah 40:3 “A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the Lord”, make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.”
In Chapter 11 of the Hebrews, he said, "By faith Noah, bring divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his house-hold." Noah believed His commands and built it with patience for 120 years. In Romans 5:3-4 says "And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope."
Today's word says that if we proceed with faith, we will continue to persevere and to God with faith, whether our lives are in the woodless desert, or in the hour of hardship when even a little wind blows away like a grain of sand.
The term ‘tribulation’ originates from the Latin language ‘tribulum’, which is a millstone witch is threshes grains and separates. That's how they separate grains and skins. But if you don't go through this process, you can't distinguish between grains unless you endure it patiently. You have to win with confidence and hope for the time of suffering. You have to win with Word. He says, with patience, prepare the way for the Lord in the vast desert, and make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.
Then Lord give us a blessing (4-5). It is said that the valley, the scar is buried, the mountains and hills, the haughtiness and the thought of injustice are abandoned, and the steepness, the obstacle, disappears into a flat land. He promise to Lord's glory will emerge.
The whole world is faced with unimaginable difficulties. In these circumstances, God says to prepare Lord's way. They say you should be as plain as God says. I hope to be the Son of God who wins with patience, hope and faith.
