E9: The Calling of Apostle Paul
Word: The Act 9:4 “Then he fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?”
God calls and uses Saul, who oppresses those who believe in Jesus. The acts 9:15 says, “Go, This man is my chosen my instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel." Paul the Apostle also introduces himself to the Apostle's Call in his epistle (Ro 1:1, 1 Co 1:1). Also, he expresses a firm belief in his calling, at Galatians 1:15 "But when God, who set me apart from birth and my called me by his grace." and "For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable (Ro 11:29)"
At the same time, he clearly define his mission. The Acts 20:24 says, He reveals the purpose of his mission, which he calls "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the take the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testify to the gospel of God’s grace. " and calls "Fight the good fight of the faith, Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” (1 Ti 6:12) and he is talking about the purpose of the calling, "encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory (1 Th 2:12)."
Paul the Apostle himself served as a suitable mission and traveled three times over 20 years, a total of 10,000 kilometers. As to the passionate conduct of Paul, he said in the last chapter of the Acts (28:31), "Boldly and without hindrance he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ."
We are all who called by the Lord, the children of the choice of Lord and the Christ’s slave (1 Co 7:22). I wish all of us will be like Paul, with a firm sense of calling and mission, and be the heroes of faith in a good fight to propagate the kingdom of God.
GOD Bless you
Thank you
