E 10: The Calling of us
Word: 2 Peter 1:10 “Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall,”
Do you believe that God chose us as children and called us as missionaries? In Romans 1:6, "And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ." In 2 Thessalonians 2:13b-14 says, "Because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth, He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.” It is also mentioned in 2 Timothy says, "Who has saved us and called us to a holy life." And The Lord said that “Not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time." (2 Ti 1:9). In this way, we are people who were called by His grace.
The purpose of calling us is to “encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom” (1 Th 2:12). He was also say in 2 Thessalonians 2:14, "He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." He also says, "God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful. (1 Co 1:9)”. And we remain with God in that state in which he was called (1 Co 7:24). Then, He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it (1 Th 5:24), and make a promise. He said, “and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Pe 1:11)”
That's right. God chose us and called us for the glory of Jesus Christ. God called for the glory of God's country through the proclamation of the Gospel. Then we say we will enter the eternal land of Jesus Christ.
